Empowering Young Girls Through Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (SRHE)

At Humanity Hand, we are proud to have recently partnered with K De Igratium International (KDII) to hold a transformative session on Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (SRHE). This initiative is focused on empowering young girls within the refugee community of Kakuma to take charge of their health and well-being.
Why SRHE Matters
Adolescent girls in refugee settings face unique challenges, including limited access to health education and resources. To address this, our programme focuses on raising awareness through Behavioural Change Communication (BCC), mentorship, and one-on-one guidance. These sessions help the girls understand their bodies, make informed decisions about their health, and avoid risks like early pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Our Approach
Our SRHE programme is structured to:
Provide essential mentorship and guidance on sexual health and hygiene.
Equip young girls with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their bodies and future.
Promote health awareness to help them avoid risks such as early pregnancies and STIs.
Collaboration with KDII
We are incredibly grateful to K De Igratium International (KDII) for joining us in this mission. Their support has been invaluable in helping us expand our outreach and offer crucial health education to more girls in Kakuma.
Together, we are working to create a lasting impact, one that helps shape a healthier, empowered generation of young women who can confidently take charge of their futures.
Our Commitment
At Humanity Hand, we remain dedicated to supporting and empowering young girls in the refugee community through various programmes like SRHE. We believe that by providing them with the tools and resources they need, we are helping them pave the way toward a brighter, healthier future.
