Humanity Hands (formerly INVER) is a registered refugee-led and oriented Community-Based Organization (CBO) established in 2018 by refugee youths. We are dedicated to promoting the resilience and psycho-social well-being of refugees in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya, through programs focusing on Education, Arts, Digital Literacy, Livelihoods, and Sexual and Reproductive Health. Our mission is to change the narratives of refugees and host communities by providing quality trainings that empower them to become self-reliant and promote social stability.

Our Programs

Digital Literacy
The digital Literacy project is a computer basic and advance training which aims at equipping refugees’ and
host communities’ youths and women with digital skills and knowledge to enhance self-reliance by bridging
the digital divide and connecting them to global opportunities as pathway to enhance self-reliance.

Advocacy
This project focuses on amplifying refugee voices in policy dialogue forum and community consultations
forums with an aim of increasing refugees’ meaningful participation in decision making tables.

Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
This project aims at equipping adolescent girls and young women with essential knowledge about sexual and
reproductive health and rights and to empower them to make informed decisions about their health, leading
to improved well-being and healthier communities.

Child Protection
Our child project focuses on sensitizing communities on the rights of children with and without disability
across Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement, and also identification of children dropping out of
schools and to sensitize the community on the importance of community involvement in supporting their
children education.
